“Shaft 1 – Jaw crusher” at the Oyu Tolgoi project successfully handed over to state commissioning

We have successfully completed the state commissioning on “Shaft 1 – Jaw crusher” constructed under the scope of Oyu Tolgoi underground project, which locates at the territory of Khanbogd soum of Umnugobi province, on August 13, 2018. During the construction work of the project, design engineers of “NCCS” LLC provided supervision on the construction of architecture, structure, heating, ventilation, water supply, sewerage, fire water supply, power supply and telecommunication.

This facility stands on a basement that will intake rocks at the depth of 1344 mm, 4 reinforced concrete columns with a height of 10.5 m and size of 1 m x 1 m, and 2.5 m reinforced concrete panel. Also, there is a flatbed for maintenance service of equipment, band conveyor and cranes.

The jaw crusher at the shaft 1 of the underground mine is a facility to be designated to crush and convey rocks proceeded from the process of underground mining constructed at the depth of 1344m under the land surface.
